Privacy Policy

OhMyVoice ("the Software", "we", "us") is built with a privacy-first philosophy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service.

1. Data We Collect

• Email address — collected when you purchase a license or start a free trial, used to deliver your license key and send transactional emails.
• Device fingerprint — a hardware-based identifier used solely to enforce the 2-device activation limit. We do not link this to your identity beyond license validation.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Paddle (our payment processor). We never see or store your credit card details.

2. Voice Data & Local Processing

OhMyVoice processes voice audio in one of two modes, chosen by you:

• Local mode — audio is processed entirely on your device using on-device models (Whisper, SenseVoice). No audio ever leaves your machine.
• Cloud mode — audio is sent directly from your device to the third-party STT provider you configure (e.g., OpenAI, Deepgram). We are not a party to that transmission; your audio goes directly to their servers under their privacy policies.

We never receive, store, or have access to your voice recordings or transcription content.

3. API Keys

Any API keys you enter for cloud STT or LLM providers are stored exclusively on your local device using the operating system's secure keychain. We never transmit your API keys to our servers.

4. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Period.

5. Third-Party Services

• Paddle — payment processor. When you make a purchase, Paddle collects your payment and billing information. Paddle's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — transactional email service used to deliver your license key and receipts. Only your email address is shared with Resend for delivery purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain your email address and license activation records for as long as your license is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your data except where retention is required by law or payment processor obligations.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at contact@ohmyvoice.xyz. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted at ohmyvoice.xyz. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
